Earlier this month, a leak about the Fortnite and X-Men ’97 crossover got the fans hyped. However, a new leak just surfaced, revealing that the collab might not happen after all.

The well-known online video game, Fortnite, is known for bringing different gaming experiences to its fans every now and then. This could involve creating entirely new game modes, such as Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, or Zero Build, or hosting special events at the beginning and end of each season. However, one of the best-known reasons why players continue to flock to the game is the never-ending collaborations with different franchises.

Just recently, a Billie Eilish collaboration was introduced to Fortnite. Some of Billie Eilish’s songs were added as Jam Tracks. However, the highlight would be the Billie Eilish bundle. This is just one of the many partnerships Fortnite has made to add something new to the game.

Earlier this month, a leak suggested that X-Men ’97 would be coming to Fortnite soon. The leak showed an image of X-Men ’97 characters and said that skins will soon be available. This for sure stirred up the enthusiasm of the fans, especially fans of the said franchise. However, a new leak surfaced stating that this collab would not be happening.

Fortnite x X-Men ’97 Collab Delayed

HYPEX, a reputable source for Fortnite news and updates, shared another leak on X (formerly Twitter). Given HYPEX’s track record of accurate leaks and predictions, it’s reasonable to believe that this recent leak is also accurate. However, it is also good to take this with a grain of salt to avoid disappointments in the future.

Going back to the leak, HYPEX said that the collab between Fortnite and X-Men ’97 will not be happening. To elaborate, the leaker said, “Basically there was an ‘X-Men’ Shop Section added around the release days of the new show, and we thought it was new skins.. but it turned out to be for the old X-Men skins (Rogue & Gambit)”.

On the other hand, HYPEX also stated in this X post that this collaboration will only not happen this season. This raises the possibility that the collab has only been delayed, and will still soon come in the later updates.

In conclusion, although the latest leak has left many, particularly X-Men ’97 enthusiasts, feeling heartbroken, we can find solace in the anticipation of future exciting Fortnite collaborations. Let’s channel our energy into awaiting these upcoming surprises and continue to enjoy the gaming experience in the meantime!
