Moretto: Milan monitoring €40m LaLiga striker with 20 goals this season

Artem Dovbyk has been one of the leaders of Girona’s surprise season in LaLiga and his exploits have been noticed by AC Milan, according to a report.

Dovbyk has 20 goals in his first year in Spanish football which is a number that only Jude Bellingham has been able to match, and this has attracted the interest of clubs around Europe as per Matteo Moretto of Relevo.

Clubs such as Juventus, Napoli and Milan are ‘closely following the Ukrainian striker’ who could leave Girona in the summer, just a year after arriving. They are open to listening to offers and could let him leave for an amount close to €40m.

It should be noted that none of the mentioned teams have made a firm offer and have only made enquiries. Milan, for example, have Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna as their priority, something that we revealed earlier today.

Dovbyk’s reputation has not only reached Italy: Premier League clubs have also asked about his situation. The Ukrainian would play in the Champions League with Girona in 2324-25, but he knowns that he could depart if a club meet their asking price.

In the summer of 2023, Girona announced the signing of Dovbyk for €7m and just over 50% of the player’s rights. Therefore, they are in line to make quite a big gain.
